Mixed martial arts: Amherst’s Garcher defends title
Shaun Bennett | The Chronicle-Telegram - Amherst’s Mike Garcher was focused on his 185-pound title fight Friday night. So much so, that he forgot to bring his championship belt to the Elyria Roll Arena.
“I had to call (my girlfriend) Jen at home and tell her to bring it with her,” Garcher said. “I was more concerned about winning the fight.”
Garcher didn’t need to worry. The Team Powerhouse middleweight used his patented aggression and power to overwhelm challenger Jesus Santiago of Cleveland and come away with a unanimous decision for his first title defense.

War in the Heartland: Resurrection Fight of the Night
Superior Cage Fighting has chosen Dominic McGhee Vs. Eric Bellottie as the War in the Heartland: Resurrection Fight of the Night. This brutal 3 round war
ended in controversy when Dominic McGhee eaked out a decision victory. All controversy aside, this was one fight where both fighters poured their hearts
out in the pursuit of victory. For this reason SCF gives much credit to these two very tough guys. Superior Cage Fighting sat down with these two warriors
to get their take on the fight. Check it out in the SCF Video Library.
